New product: Films on Demand

The library recently subscribed to a wonderful product called Films on Demand. Containing over 11,000 educational films, Films on Demand allows you to stream movies 24/7!  Movies are organized into 25 subject categories (anthropology, biology, business and economics, etc.) and by special collection (PBS, Ken Burns, Nova, etc.). You can also search by keyword.

By creating a free personal account, you can access specialized features that allow you to organize and bookmark clips, create and share playlists, personalize folders, and more.

Each film has its own URL that you can link to (at the bottom of the screen for that video). For faculty wanting to link to a film in their Educat course, make sure to add our authentication URL prefix ( before the URL provided by Films on Demand.  Although not required to view the film if on campus or using LTE, those individuals with a commercial internet provider will not be able to get access otherwise.
