Looking for some light summer reading?  Are finding that, while Olson Library’s scholarly collection was helpful when writing your Neurology term paper, it’s not actually fulfilling your desire for a James Patterson mystery or book three of the Twilight series?

Try MeLCat.

MeLCat, available from the Olson Library website (, is a state-wide catalog of more than 9 million items held at nearly 400 public and academic libraries across Michigan. 

MeLCat allows you to request books, audio books, music, and movies from other participating libraries and have those items delivered to Olson Library free of charge.  While you do need to allow for delivery time, most items arrive in seven days or less.

Items check out for three weeks with an option to renew for a second three-week period.
