Spotlight on: The Encyclopedia of Religion

The library wants to direct your attention to the revised 2nd edition of the Encyclopedia of Religion, a source  Library Journal deemed one of the most important reference works of the last millennium.

The Encyclopedia of Religion provides detailed, authoritative information on a range of topics relating to religion and spiritual practice, including biographical profiles of major figures in religion and religious studies.

The original 2,750 entries have been retained, with many updated, and approximately 600 entirely new articles have been added by an international team of experts.  This source also features 200 color, 130 black-and-white illustrations, and full-color inserts.

The entries are signed by their contributor and often include a bibliography to other sources on the topic. In addition, the entries for this wonderful source are also indexed in OneSearch, the library’s main database, and will come up in your results.  Check it out today.
