Lydia M. Olson Library, with the support of the NMU Foundation, will be having its inaugural competition for an annual library/archives research award to be given to one undergraduate student for a project that effectively uses resources from the Lydia M. Olson Library and/or Central Upper Peninsula & NMU Archives. Any scholarly or creative project produced by an NMU undergraduate that uses resources from the Olson Library and/or the Archives is eligible. Students will submit their project with an essay describing how library and/or archives resources were used in its development. The winner will receive a cash prize of $500.
Students must have a faculty member sign off on their work, using the cover sheet found here. They must submit a copy of the project and a 500-word essay describing how Lydia M. Olson Library and/or Central Upper Peninsula & NMU Archives resources contributed to its production. A faculty and staff committee will judge the works. Winners will be announced at the annual Celebration of Student Scholarship on April 12.
