“I sent something to the printer, like, 5 times and it isn’t there….”

We hear this a lot.  And there are a few things that come into play that must be addressed to fix this.

  1. Are you connected to the Internet?  I know, silly thing to think about, but you would be very surprised how many people assume they are connected.
  2. If you aren’t connected, use the NMU wireless and not WiMax (addressed here).  Or plug into an ethernet cable–if you are sending a large file (pdf or image), the cable is the preferred method.
  3. Your printer queue is probably full of print jobs not going anywhere–these must be deleted.
  4. Send your print job once again.
