Last semester the library started sending out courtesy notices via email when student, faculty, or staff’ books were coming due. This semester, all library notices will be sent via NMU email.
No longer will overdue notices and fines be sent through postal mail. There were often complaints about this method as notices were sent to students’ official addresses, which were frequently their parent’s house, thereby causing further delay.
Besides the overdue and fine notices, you will also receive an email message if you placed a hold or recall on a book and it has been returned to the library.
