Refining your search

Some of the refinement options in OneSearch

Need a specific type of resource for an end-of-semester paper?  Try using the “Refine your search” options in OneSearch to find that elusive government document, a journal article from 2000, or a book written in German.

Start by entering your search terms in OneSearch.  From the results page, look at the various options on the left side of the screen.  (Don’t forget to scroll down for the full list of options!)  Check any box to include those items in your results, or choose the “more…” option to exclude specific items.  The Content Type, Library, Location, Publication Date, Subject Terms, and Language categories are all there to help you easily find the resources you need to finish that paper.

If you run into a problem or have a question, don’t hesitate to ask!
