Receiving articles via interlibrary loan

Articles requested and received through interlibrary loan arrive in different formats depending on how the lending library shipped it to Olson Library. Articles that arrive in paper form via mail or the fax machine are passed along to the patron as a paper document. Articles that arrive electronically are passed along to the user electronically. These articles are stored on a computer for 28 days, after which they are deleted. This is done purposefully to preserve memory space on the computer. However, you can have access to the article after the 28-day timeframe by downloading a copy to your computer. If you want additional directions, the staff of Olson Library will be happy to help. And, of course, you could always print the article for future use.
